FHWA Approval Letters

NCHRP Report 350 recommends two required (tests 3-50 and 3-51) and two optional (tests 3-51 and 3-52) tests for evaluation of a TMA. Approval of the TTMA-100 was granted by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) after the successful conduct of the two required crash tests (letter CC-90). Subsequent to the completion of the optional crash tests, a supplement to the original approval (letter CC-90a) was issued by FHWA. Copies of the two FHWA approval letters are provided.
